1.Self Regulating Smart Textiles.

2.Various Types of Modifications of Microfiber Synthetic Leather Base (MSLB) to Improve the Sanitary Performances.

Abstract: Microfiber leather is a form of synthetic leather that constitutes a combination of high grade polyurethan resin and microfiber bundles to imitate infinitesimal structure of natural leather. Microfiber has benefitted from the smaller diameter close to fibrils of natural leather. Microfibers have drawn great attention and are widely used in the synthetic leather base, which is a key component in determining performance of synthetic leather. Microfiber synthetic leather has properties that are better than those of natural leather, such as its mechanical behavior. However, based on other features such as hygienic-related ones, there is a relatively wide gap between natural leather and microfiber synthetic leather. Unlike natural leather, microfiber synthetic leather has poorer transfer and absorbent abilities, giving it a hotter feeling. Consequently, there is need for the improvement of sanitary performance superfine synthetic leather. Several researchers have strived to improve the sanitary properties by performing different types of modifications of MSLB. It is attempted to make a review on the different types of modifications in brief.

3.Preparation of Heat Resistant Leather conditioner Formulation For Leather .

Abstract: The development of leather lubricants to preserve the leather and increases the stability of leather through eco-friendly chemicals is a current industry demand. In this technical study, three types of heat resistant leather conditioner formulations were prepared from the long chain fatty acid and aqueous glycol solution. Each leather conditioner was applied at the final stage after drying of leather. To check the suitability of leather conditioner, some dried leathers were selected for application. The leathers were then subjected for Physical testing such as thermal resistance, tensile strength (N/mm), softness (mm), etc. The results revealed that the prepared leather conditioner has no adverse effects on grain and improved thermal resistivity due to the interaction of glycol with collagen of leather

4.Investigation on the physical properties of yarn produced from recycled fibre and virgin cotton and to optimize their proportion.

Abstract: Textile waste recycling becomes more important phenomenon; bearing in mind the limited availability of resources .Recycled textile can be further be converted in the form of fibre for filling, recycled yarn, woven fabric and nonwoven fabrics etc. The present study investigate the properties of 4.5Ne (131 Tex) OE spun yarn produced from recycled fibre and virgin cotton fibre with 50/50, 45/55, 40/60, 35/65, 30/70, 25/75 and 20/80 proportion. This study aimed to investigate physical properties of yarn, to optimize the proportion for quality product and to check whether it can be used for denim fabric production. The physical property was studied for each proportion. The result analysed by Design Expert Software by using CCD (Central Composite Design) to optimize the proportion. 40/60 proportion has the optimum result and by using this optimized proportion 10Ne (59.05 Tex) yarn was produced and used for denim fabric production .The sample denim fabric was produced by using recycled yarn as a weft yarn to show that the recycled fibre can be used to produce denim fabric. The physical properties of the denim fabric was also studied and its wearable quality. It is found that by increasing the virgin cotton proportion ihe quality of the final product can be improved.
